Now, I'm as jealous as the next guy of not having a Powerbook, but I've mostly decided to stay away. However, this is the best argument I've seen on why not to buy a Powerbook. (Of course, this means this rant is the best argument I've seen. Which isn't saying much about why you shouldn't buy one. It was just funny, ok?)

have to agree with Mr_V. you should use one for a week or two. and then try using a free UNIX as desktop again. the difference in usability is acute. also, try using suspend/resume on FreeBSD/Linux with a PC notebook, and have it work properly. all these people who rag on Mac OS X being "Junior Unix" are being apologists for the crap desktop experience a free UNIX gives you. :)
