Thanks to well-timed totally-way-too-much-work-for-words and a general apathy for such things, I skipped the whole del.icio.us-for-bookmarks craze. And, well, I used my laptop at both work and home until my laptop up and died on me, so I'd avoided the whole multiple-sets-of-bookmarks problem. (But, it seems, I've developed a connect-words-with-hyphens issue.)
Not being a fan of through-the-web bookmarks, that pretty much means a Firefox extension. Preferably with organisation in multiple dimensions (tags will do). And GMarks delivers.
Integrates into the usual bookmarks keys and methods, but totally separate from the Firefox bookmarks. With a sidebar with content search of the bookmarks. (Unfortunately I have a 5:4 display at work, can live with the sidebar constantly open with a 16:10 display...)
I guess there's something about tags (I must stop saying multiple dimensonal organisation) that makes it easy for using them to act as queues. If I find something interesting related to a particular field, but don't have time to read it, I assign it a category tag, as well as a "to read" tag. Similarly, "to watch" for all those silly videos I get sent during work time. Or "when at home"/"when at work", a la GTD (actually, a GTD app that synchronises to Google Bookmarks would be great...).
Another benefit is that I spend my time with fewer tabs open (I only have three open now. Madness!), as I know I'll get around to it, since it's in my queue.
Things I want to talk about here I put under "to blog". Which means that hopefully I won't have weeks without posting something, as I'm keeping track of things that interested me enough to write about them, but didn't have time to do so. Let's see how it goes.
I find Google Browser Sync to be incredibly useul. I don't generally share stuff between different machines, but I do run Firefox in two different profiles on different displays and sharing bookmarks, etc. between them is pretty cool. :-)
