Flags of the world

Studying the flags of the world is no longer just a boring thing you're forced to do in Geography class (insert snarky comment about US Geography syllabus here)!  It's now a fun thing for anyone to do with this rated and critiqued list of the flags of the world.

South Africans my age had to spend a lot of time to draw an accurate Oranje-blanje-blou flag in our junior school indoctrination history classes - some countries have children who just need to remember three colours and one flag - but we had to remember those and three other flags in the middle of that flag.  These days, our flag is a lot easier to draw, looks better, and gets a higher mark according to the marking process.

But at least we weren't Turkmenistan (take a look).  But then, at least the US Virgin Islands children probably only have to (as mentioned there) paint their flag by number.
