I'm not sure there's an icon I can put on my web site (or if I was sane at the time), but I'm now a FOSSFA council member. The AGM was held on the first official night of the conference, and in between much tension, the FOSSFA constitution was ratified, and the council elected. Tectonic had coverage.

My aim is to represent open source developers in Africa (aided by Guido Sohne as developers-first, and a few people who don't wear their developer hats primarily at the moment) and to ensure proper process in terms of transparency and good governance.

Hi Neil, I was there with you and am a proud member as well though from the other side of the world :) but the FOSS Community is not restricted by nations, cultures, religion, race etc..... I am really happy things will be smooth at FOSSFA after the institution of the constitution and the council members :)
