GeekDinner May 2007 is tonight from 18:30 to 21:00 (at The Wild Fig).
There are still a few seats open, so you can still come and meet fellow geeks and talk about geeky stuff with them. Heck, you can still give a short three-to-five-minute talk, if you can be ready by tonight. If not, you can listen to some great speakers talking about the One Laptop Per Child project, about Python's advantages over PHP (a much-anticipated topic), about Ruby on Rails, about project management (in five minutes flat?!), and other topics. And discussing the topics afterwards in a Q&A or at your table or while mingling.
Since last mention, Jonathan has organised wine sponsorship with GETWINE. While I can't say I appreciate the all-caps, according to Bryn (who recommended them) they deliver great value unlabeled (and labeled) wine promptly (sometimes same-day), and hopefully we can hear about any technology challenges they faced starting and running their business primarily over the Internet in the South African telecommunications climate.
I managed to procure the use of the CareerJunction projector for the event, so we didn't need to hire one for the evening (which, apparently, it rather expensive). Prosperis Technologies is sponsoring the audio equipment.
