GTKY: Food

Gary Colman posted another GTKY-esque (Getting To Know You) mail to the hivemind about food. Here're my answers.

Probably Raphael's Thai Chicken with Green Curry (to which he
unfortunately is now allergic), although there were a number of
contenders in Brick Lane.

I've started to take a liking to eel, from Guy's influence, but I
probably still prefer salmon done most ways, although probably
preferably as sashimi.  Cape to Cuba in Kalk Bay (or thereabouts)
does/did really nice tuna steak, since I'm already rambling.

Vanilla ice cream from the mass-market box, generally.  Good (and only
good) sorbet, litchi.

Lindt Excellence 70/85 (although I took a liking to Yorkie for every-day
London keep-up-consumption-to-replace-energy-from-shivering purposes).

When I'm in the mood, and in good company, nothing beats assorted
"sushi" at Wasabi at Constantia Village, along with some decent wine.
Now I just need to figure out how we managed to afford to go there every
few weeks when I was earning less but can't afford to do so at all
now...

(And then there's the fallback of a Russian (or Chicken) Gatsby and
coke-from-a-glass-bottle at Mariams or Shahs in Cape Town CBD...)
