I've recently become interested in doing some online share trading (on the JSE). I already have managed investments, but I'd like to try my hand directly. I've got some spare cash, and I've got some ideas on what shares I want to start off with, and now I need to figure out who to trade through.
Before I come up with some criteria for evaluating the available options, I'd like to first generate a list of these options. I canvassed a few friends with the appropriate background, and so far I know of:
- Standard Bank's Online Share Trading has so far got the most referred recommendation, although nobody I asked actually uses it themselves.
- One person has suggested that PSGonline sucks about the least.
- I never got any references for Sharenet beyond that some of the people I canvassed remembered some of their colleagues using it in the past.
LazyWeb, Can anyone share other options or recommendations (for or against)?
