Apparently, I've been doing this (ephemeral link, I'm afraid) for the past year and a bit. You could be doing this stuff! (In response to the people who asked me whether there was an advert.)

"PHP, or a similar language such as Perl or C"!?
They all look the same - semi-colons and braces. ;) My boss figures so long as you have the high-level skills, you'll be able to pick up the language-specific stuff easily enough. I'd like to think that I managed well enough. He had a killer programmer/analyst test during my interview too - I imagine it got rid of the wannabes. At least he didn't mention Python. Python programmers have it _so_ good compared to PHP programmers. Of course, I'm about to head up a PHP project, so I'd better be nice about it.
