On Sunday (30th March 2003), the article I worked on was finally aired. I provided technical expertise and research for the article "Wireless Loophole" for the Carte Blanche investigative journalism program. It investigated the security problems invovled in wireless technology.
The shoot wasn't quite as I expected - Barry and I were not really sure what we would be providing to the article on camera, and we ended up not saying much during the boardroom explanatory scene.
We were equally surprised to see the draft video we received a couple of weeks back. Our on-screen time was very minimal, but then we all the scenes we saw shot were heavily edited. Some more people were involved after we last spoke to the producer.
All in all, I thought the end product was well put together, but a bit short. It has been a reasonably fun experience, the planning was exciting, the shooting was very educational, as was the process involved in getting it to air.
