Weeknotes: 2025-W14
Published: , updated:
Summary
A week full of classes - my woodworking project class as well as a number of certification classes for Seattle Makers that finish off my “must-have” list before I start using the maker space.
Made a bit of a mess of some resawing dimensions early in the week, but figured out a plan to get what I needed and move forward.
Took another bunch of photos of blossoms and ducks and geese and even a dog (it was aquatic at the time) on my walks.

It never occurred to me exactly how simple and potentially enjoyable this could be, so making a few boxes and maybe even some books are now on my (currently very long) list of potential projects.

Goth Kid on Vacation - Jack Black on Saturday Night Live
It’s rare for me to watch much more than Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live, but I figured there’s a decent chance Jack Black would deliver in a few of the sketches so I watched those as well. This was probably the best of the lot - that My Chemical Romance interlude…
The Highest-Rated EASY Puzzle Ever!! - Cracking the Cryptic
An uncommonly short variant “Sudoku” puzzle from Simon on Cracking the Cryptic, a well-constructed (and highly rated) puzzle with a fairly straightforward solve by Simon.
Taylor Tomlinson’s Crowd Confessions
An interesting and enjoyable take on “crowd work”, with the crowd providing their responses on a few topics, and Taylor and a partner (sometimes two) riffing off of it and each other.
